HIV/ AIDS AWARENESS

A Poster Making competition on HIV/AIDS awareness was organised by the Youth Red Cross Society/ Red Ribbon Club of the College under the dynamic leadership of Principal Dr. Geeta Sukhija. The main aim of the competition was to raise awareness regarding HIV/AIDS as it still remains a critical public health challenge in India. Therefore, organising awareness activities such as poster making competition are paramount in mitigating the spread of the virus and addressing the stigma surrounding it. A total of 22 students participated in the poster competition to display their creativity and artistic skills through posters whilst showcasing accurate information about HIV/AIDS in order to reduce the stigma associated with it and to educate the public about the virus. Ms. Sunita Chauhan, Dr. Suman, Ms. Sheetal Mangla and Ms. Savita judged this highly competitive competition and declared Prachi from B.A. 2nd Year and Preetijita from B.A. 3rd year as the winners of the competition, Komal from B.A. 3rd year won the second position and Vandna from B.A. 3rd year and Natanya Goyal from B.Com. 3rd year won the third position. The convenor of the Red Cross Committee/ Red Ribbon Club Ms. Swati and members Ms. Neetu, Ms. Anu Dahiya, Dr. Navneet Nancy, Ms. Shabnam and Ms. Sonia played an important role in the successful organisation of this competition.
