The birth anniversary of Shaheed Bhagat Singh was celebrated at Smt. Aruna Asaf Ali Govt. P. G. College, Kalka, under the leadership of Principal Dr. Geeta Sukhija and Registrar Dr. Ravinder Sheoran. It was jointly organised by the Department of Political Science, headed by Mrs. Sunita Chauhan, and the Department of Public Administration, headed by Assistant Professor, Savita. A poetry recitation competition was organized, with 53 students participating enthusiastically. The winners included Ms. Laxmi (B.A. Final Year), Mr. Vijay Kumar (B.A. 2nd Year), Ms. Vanshika and Ms. Priya (B.A.1st Year) who shared the third prize, and Ms. Pooja (BA 1st Year) who received the consolation prize. Dr. Geeta Kumari, who has researched on Bhagat Singh, inspired students by highlighting his significance as a source of inspiration for today's youth. The competition was judged by Associate Professor Dr. Bindu Sharma (HoD), Dr. Geeta Kumari and Dr. Pooja from the Department of Hindi.
The winners were awarded prizes by Registrar Dr. Ravinder Sheoran.
