CPR Training Session Organised by Red Cross Society A CPR training session was organised by the Red Cross Society of the College under the charismatic leadership of Principal Dr. Geeta Sukhija. The main aim of this training session was to provide students with the basic knowledge of cardiopulmonary resuscitation technique so that they could be equipped with the necessary skills to save a life during a cardiac emergency when the heart stops beating or beats too ineffectively to circulate blood to the brain and other vital organs. During such circumstances, CPR could double or triple a person's chances of survival which makes its knowledge extremely crucial. The session was attended by 80 students from various faculties of the College. The training was provided by members of District Red Cross Society, Panchkula and St. John Ambulance (India) District Panchkula who are running a district level campaign titled, “CPR Awareness Week” from 13th October-17th October under the aegis of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and Indian Red Cross Society, Haryana. The convenor of the Red Cross Society, Professor Swati and members Professor Neetu, Professor Dr. Navneet Nancy, Professor Dr. Shabnam and Professor Dr. Sonia played an important role in the successful organisation of this training.
