National Panchayati Raj Day

Under the distinguished leadership of Principal Dr. Geeta Sukhija, the National Service Scheme (NSS) Units, in collaboration with the Departments of Public Administration and Political Science at Government PG College, Kalka, organized an essay writing competition to commemorate National Panchayati Raj Day. The competition focused on the pivotal theme, "The Role of Panchayati Raj Institutions in Achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)".
The event saw enthusiastic participation from 24 students, who provided insightful perspectives on the importance of grassroots governance in driving sustainable development. After a rigorous evaluation process, the following students were declared winners:
* First Position: Maninder (B.A. 1st Year)
* Second Position: Aditya Sharma (B.A. 1st Year)
* Third Position: Poonam (B.A. 2nd Year)
The achievers were distinguished with merit certificates and tokens of appreciation for their outstanding contributions.
The program was successfully coordinated by a faculty team comprising Associate Professor Sunita Chauhan Dr. Ashish Kumar and Assistant Professor Savita. The unenviable task of adjudication was performed by a panel of experts, including Assistant Professor Pooja Singhal (Department of English) and Dr. Neeru Sharma (Department of Hindi).
