Yoga Workshop

Under the strong leadership of the Principal of the college, Dr. Geeta Sukhija, the Yoga Club of Government College, Kalka successfully organized a “Seven-Day Yoga Workshop” from 19 January to 25 January 2026. A total of 47 students from the Yoga Club participated in the workshop and benefited from continuous practice of yoga and meditation. The main objective of this workshop was to promote self-confidence, mental peace, stress management, and overall health among students. During the workshop, participants practiced Surya Namaskar, Trikonasana, Kapalbhati, Bhramari, Bhujangasana, and various Pranayama techniques, along with several methods of meditation. Through these practices, students experienced techniques of awareness and mindfulness during deep relaxation, which help in improving concentration, achieving inner peace, and enhancing overall well-being. This initiative by the Yoga Club reflects the college’s commitment not only to academic excellence but also to the physical and emotional well-being of its students. The workshop was successfully organized with the significant contribution of Dr. Geeta Kumari (In-charge of the Yoga Club), Assistant Professor Savita, and Dr. Ashish. Special support during the workshop was also provided by Dr. Jaspal and NSS In-charge Dr. Savita.
