Celebration of Indian Army Day by NCC Units
The NCC SD and SW Units of Smt. Aruna Asaf Ali Government Post Graduate College, Kalka (Panchkula), celebrated Indian Army Day on 15 January 2026 in a patriotic and enthusiastic atmosphere.
The programme was organized under the guidance of the Principal, Mrs. Geeta Sukhija. The activities of the event were conducted by NCC Officer Dr. Suresh Kumar and NCC Officer Lieutenant (Dr.) Gurpreet Kaur. Around 60 NCC cadets (boys and girls) actively participated in the programme.
As part of the event, an informative lecture on the history of the Indian Army was delivered, highlighting its glorious traditions, supreme sacrifices, and pivotal role in safeguarding the nation. This was followed by a motivational lecture on career opportunities in the Indian Army, which inspired the cadets and instilled values of discipline, courage, leadership, and a spirit of national service.
In addition, a short documentary film showcasing the operational achievements of the Indian Army was screened. The film left a deep impact on the cadets and further strengthened their sense of pride and respect for the armed forces.
The programme concluded with an emphasis on patriotism, national unity, and the role of youth in nation-building. The celebration proved to be highly inspiring and successful for all the cadets.
