Government College, Kalka hosts Seeds of Hope & Action (SOHA) Exhibition in collaboration with Bharat Soka Gakkai (BSG)
Kalka 29 November 2023: Government College, Kalka, hosted an exhibition titled ‘Seeds of Hope & Action Exhibition: Making the SDGs a Reality’ on 29 November 2023. The exhibition was organized in collaboration with Bharat Soka Gakkai (BSG).
The “Seeds of Hope & Action” (SOHA) exhibition emphasizes interconnectedness with the rest of the community of life and the need to broaden our sphere of compassion. It encourages viewers to overcome feelings of powerlessness and highlights the fact that a single person can initiate positive change. The 26-panel SOHA exhibition presents a vision for sustainable living and showcased individuals from different countries who have made an impact, depicting the actions of ordinary people who are changing the world.
The exhibition was commenced with lamp lighting. Additional and Session Judge Punjab and Haryana High Court Subhash Chandra Sirohi was the chief guest at the exhibition.
The Principal of the College, Ms. Promila Malik in her address shared about how the exhibition is inspirational.
Principal of Government College, Assandh, Professor Sushil Kumar and Retired Professor Dr. Kuldeep Thind, Retired Professor Dr. Kuldeep Beniwal, also graced the exhibition.
The exhibition was also attended by more than 400 students from other institutions such as Sophia Convent School Kalka, Vivekananda Millennium School and D.A.V School Surajpur. All the attendees were inspired by the exhibition to learn, reflect, empower, act and lead, in their daily lives.
This exhibition was organised under the Dr. Ramchand, Dean(Science) and Co-ordinator Dr. Neeru, Associate professor, Department of Zoology.
